Ollantaytambo, Peru is another village in the Urubamba Valley, which is also known as the Sacred
Valley of the Incans. There's a very impressive set of Incan ruins here that
rise up from the
edge of the town. It's here that the Incans had their single victory in battle
against the invading Spaniards in 1536.
I was very impressed by the buildings
the Incans made on sheer cliffs overlooking this town. Also, there is a very
impressive sculpture of an Incan man's face here - probably several stories
tall - on the same sheer cliff.
I hope you enjoy my photos of Ollantaytambo, Peru.
