About Me
After several days, my Amazon River adventure ended in the town of Leticia,
Columbia. This is the southern-most tip of Columbia where it borders both
Peru and Brazil. Just a short distance away is the village of Tabatinga,
Brazil. Both are dusty (during the dry season) little towns that would be
almost inaccessable except for the Amazon River and the modern convenience of
an airport in Leticia. From there, I flew on to Bogata, Columbia - a place
that seemed like an armed camp - an extremely large armed camp.
I hope you enjoy my photos of Columbia and Peru.

This girl had a cute monkey for a pet. (I
think the other little girl was jealous of the attention).
|
Some of the villages along the Amazon River
and its tributaries were very scenic.

|
Some of the larger homes are two huts
connected by a walkway.

My Amazon River adventure ended in the
village of Leticia, Columbia. This spot is at the convergence of three
countries - Peru, Columbia, and Brazil. Letticia is next to Tabbatinga,
Brazil. Letticia had a colorful market with fruits and vegetables I had
never seen before.
